H1N1 Information
Updated November 5th, 2009
As you know the H1N1 vaccine distribution has not gone as planned. Supply of vaccine is still uncertain. To be equitable, all previously planned school based clinics are canceled. The attached schedule is subject to change and cancellation if vaccine is not available. Please distribute to all parents in whatever manner is most convenient for your school. As of today the more limited target groups are still in effect. The Washington County Health Department is following state and federal public health guidelines for groups to target for distribution. Please check the Health Department website frequently for changes in distribution plans at
www.co.washington.wi.us/chn. There is an online form and directions that can be printed, signed and brought to clinic. It helps with readability. Data is entered into the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR). Thank you for your understanding and patience.

National Recognition - Top of the Class
West Bend West High School and West Bend East High School were both recently recognized by Newsweek Magazine as two of the top 1,500 high schools in America. Only 26 other schools in Wisconsin secured a spot this year on Newsweek’s annual list.

West Bend West High School ranked 1,084 and West Bend East ranked 1,170 on the list that is based on a single calculation: the number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate test taken by all students, divided by the number of graduating seniors.
